Help

Questions, answered.

Shipping, framing, commissions, workshops and the course. These are sample answers for now, to be replaced with the studio's own.

Frequently asked questions

Sample answers: each one says what to replace it with.

How are original paintings packed and shipped?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own policy. Every original is packed by hand to protect the surface and the corners, then sent by a tracked, signed-for service so you always know where it is. Replace with your policy: which courier you use, how long dispatch takes after an order, delivery costs for the UK and abroad, and whether larger framed pieces go by a specialist art courier.
How are prints sent, and how long do they take?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own policy. Paper prints travel flat or rolled in a rigid tube; canvas prints travel wrapped and boxed. You receive a tracking link as soon as the parcel is on its way. Replace with your policy: dispatch time, delivery options and costs, and whether you post internationally.
Is the artwork framed? Can I choose a frame?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own details. Each listing says whether the piece is sold framed or unframed. Unframed paper prints are sized to fit standard frames so they are easy to frame locally. Replace with your details: the frames you use, whether a different frame can be requested, and what glazing and hanging fittings come with a framed piece.
Do you take commissions?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own process. If you have a particular space, size or colour palette in mind, send a message through the contact page describing the room, the light and the colours you live with. Replace with your process: whether you are taking commissions at the moment, how a commission is agreed, any deposit, and typical timescales.
What if I change my mind, or something arrives damaged?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own policy. If a parcel arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further and get in touch straight away so it can be put right. You also have statutory rights when buying online in the UK. Replace with your policy: the return window, who pays return postage, how refunds are made, and any items that cannot be returned (for example commissions).
How do I book a workshop place?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own details. Upcoming workshops are listed on the Workshops page. Choose a date, book your place online, and a confirmation with everything you need to know is emailed to you. Replace with your details: what is supplied and what to bring, group size, and accessibility of the venue.
What happens if I can't make a workshop, or it is cancelled?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own policy. If you can no longer come, get in touch as early as you can. If a workshop has to be moved or cancelled, everyone booked is contacted with their options. Replace with your policy: the notice needed for a refund or transfer, whether places can be passed to a friend, and what happens if a workshop is postponed.
How do I access the online course after buying it?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own details. After checkout you receive an email with a link to sign in to the course. Lessons can be watched at your own pace, on a computer, tablet or phone. Replace with your details: how long access lasts, what materials the course uses, and who to contact if the sign-in email does not arrive.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
SAMPLE ANSWER — replace with your own details. A gift voucher can be a lovely way to let someone choose their own piece, print or workshop place. Replace with your details: whether vouchers are available, the amounts, how long they last, and whether they can be used for workshops and the online course as well as artwork.
